Frederik Ehrhardt is a producer and writer based in Germany and the United States. He began his industry career as an associate producer for four-time Independent Spirit Award nominee Darren Dean at 3DMC in New York before launching his own production company, Freud & Ecstasy. Most recently, Frederik produced Pablo Pagán's neo-noir drama Voyager, which has been shortlisted for the Goyas and has screened at over 150 festivals internationally, as well as the screen adaptation of Markus Potter's Outer Critics Circle-nominated Off-Broadway play Stalking the Bogeyman, starring Tony winner Santino Fontana and Tony nominee Thomas Sadoski. Frederik is currently in pre-production on Emmy winner Lina Lyte Plioplyte's upcoming documentary Women in Flux(us), and in development on the queer supernatural drama Devil's Instrument. Additionally, he is co-producing and has co-written the narrative feature Big Man by Sundance winner Rashaad Ernesto Green (in development), as well as Jane Alcala's debut film Next Up, Lin Sun, about Cambodian-American comedian Lin Sun, who turns her past - sex work, jail, and single motherhood - into raw, fearless stand-up (in post-production). As a writer, Frederik's scripts have won Final Draft Big Break, the grand prizes at HollyShorts, Flickers Rhode Island, and Cordillera International, placed as runner-up at Script Pipeline’s First Look, and as semifinalists in the Austin Film Festival screenplay competition. Frederik is a proud alumnus of the MIDPOINT Institute's Focus Queer and Development Executive programs, Stowe Story Labs, When East Meets West, the CineStory Foundation, and the International Screen Institute Vienna.
